The Foundation exists to strengthen the community through targeted investments in education, mentorship, and service. We support chapter members in their efforts to uplift youth, empower families, and expand access to opportunity. Our work includes:

• Scholarship awards for college‑bound African American males

• Mentoring and leadership development through Guide Right and Kappa League

• Community food, clothing, and resource drives

• Support for national fraternity initiatives, including the United Negro College Fund, Habitat for Humanity, and the Piney Woods School

Annual Black & White Charity Gala

The Foundation’s signature event, the Black & White Charity Gala, is one of Cincinnati’s most anticipated philanthropic evenings. This elegant celebration brings together civic leaders, business professionals, alumni, and supporters for a night of purpose and fellowship. Proceeds from the Ball directly fund scholarships, youth programming, and community service initiatives.

For decades, the Black & White Ball has stood as a symbol of achievement, unity, and the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation.

Scholarship Initiative

For fifteen consecutive years, the Cincinnati Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation has awarded financial assistance to college‑bound African American males through its Scholarship Initiative. These young men represent the fraternity’s core value of achievement, demonstrating academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Scholarship recipients are celebrated at both the Black & White Ball and the annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, reinforcing the Foundation’s belief that investing in youth is the most powerful way to strengthen the future of Cincinnati.

Scholarship Golf Tournament

The Scholarship Golf Tournament is another cornerstone event that blends fellowship, competition, and philanthropy. Participants—from fraternity brothers to corporate partners—come together to raise funds for scholarships and youth development programs. The tournament has become a beloved tradition and a vital contributor to the Foundation’s educational mission.

A Legacy of Service

Across more than three decades, the Cincinnati Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation has remained steadfast in its commitment to uplifting the community. Through scholarships, mentoring, service projects, and partnerships, the Foundation continues to honor the fraternity’s timeless motto: Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.
